Arriving at a home closed for months
A home left shut for weeks does not stay clean. It just sits there, and you notice the moment the door opens.
- Dust on every surface, even though nobody has been in.
- A stale smell, especially in wardrobes, bathrooms and soft furnishings.
- Taps and drains that have not run and smell when you turn them on.
- Unmade beds, or linen left from the last stay.
- Fridge and cupboards still holding what was left last time.
The first day of your holiday disappears into cleaning. If you arrive at night after hours on the road, the last thing you want is a mop. It happens a lot in apartments in Pas de la Casa, Arinsal and Pal, and in Ordino houses that only open in summer or at Christmas.
Before you arrive: opening up and cleaning
Tell us the day you land and we go one or two days earlier. We open the windows and get the home ready to live in.
- Airing. Windows open and fresh air through the rooms while we work.
- Dusting. Furniture, shelves, frames, lamps and skirting boards.
- Kitchen. Worktops, hob, sink, the outside of appliances and the fridge if you ask.
- Bathrooms. Toilets, taps, mirrors and showers, running the water through.
- Floors. Vacuuming and mopping throughout.
- Beds. Made with clean linen if you have left a set in the home (extra of €0.09/h, excl. IGI).
We follow the Japanese 5S method: first we set aside what is not needed, then everything goes back in its place, and only then do we clean. You find the home as you left it, only clean. If it has been a long time since a full clean, book a deep clean first and keep it up with shorter visits.
When you leave: closing up
On your last day you do not want to spend the morning cleaning. You leave, and we come in afterwards.
- We strip the used bed linen and, if you ask, do the laundry (extra of €0.19/h, excl. IGI).
- We wash any dishes left and empty the fridge of anything that will spoil.
- We clean the kitchen, bathrooms and floors so the next opening is shorter.
- We take the rubbish out if there is no bin at the entrance (extra of €0.29/h, excl. IGI).
- We close windows and shutters and leave the home as you tell us.
Anything you want done, or left alone, goes in the notes for your location. Every visit then follows the same instructions.
Keys and access when you are abroad
If you are not in Andorra, someone has to be able to let themselves in. That is what key holding is for: you leave us a copy and we keep it to enter on the agreed dates.
An extra of €0.09/h (excl. IGI) on top of the rate. Key handover and alarm codes are always recorded in the client area.
The visit dates are in the client area, so you can follow them from anywhere. Nobody needs to wait at the door, and you do not have to leave a key with a neighbour.
Visits between seasons
Between winter and summer, months can pass without anyone going in. One visit a month stops dust building up and keeps the next opening short.
On a maintenance visit we air the home, dust, run the water through taps and drains, and vacuum. If you have plants, we water them (extra of €0.05/h, excl. IGI). If anything looks wrong, we tell you.
You can combine both: monthly maintenance through the year and a fuller opening before Christmas or August. We work in all seven parishes, including ski apartments in Soldeu and El Tarter, Pas de la Casa and the high villages of La Massana.
Holiday home cleaning price
You pay for hours worked, per person. The minimum is one hour, and we recommend two to four hours per visit.
| Item | Price (excl. IGI) |
|---|---|
| Recurring service (for example, monthly maintenance) | from €16.99/h |
| One-off service (a single opening; travel, materials and products included) | €38.27/h |
| Monthly frequency | +€0.99/h |
| Key holding | +€0.09/h |
| Bed linen change | +€0.09/h |
| Doing the laundry | +€0.19/h |
| Car needed to reach the home (recurring service only) | +€0.99/h |
| Saturdays and Sundays (regular service only) | +€0.99/h |
The recurring rate needs at least four sessions in four different weeks within the agreed period; otherwise the one-off rate applies. If you only come once a year, the opening is charged as a one-off service. All our prices are on one page, and you can read more about Sojiya there too.
To ask for a quote, fill in the contact form with the parish, the size of the home and your arrival and departure dates. It takes two minutes and we reply in writing with the price. If your dates change, move the visit from the calendar in the client area; with 48 working hours notice it costs nothing.
