The pile that never goes down
The bedroom chair covered in shirts. The basket overflowing on a Sunday night. For many people living in Andorra, with long working days and weekends spent in the mountains, ironing is the job that always gets pushed back.
The problem is not only time. Creased clothes pile up, mix with the clean ones, and it gets hard to find what you need. Sojiya deals with both: we iron and we put everything away.
Ironing service in Andorra: how it works at your home
We always work in your home, with your iron and your board. Sojiya has no laundry and no pick-up service, so your clothes never travel and are never mixed with anyone else's.
We apply the Japanese 5S method to your wardrobe too:
- Sort: we set aside what should not be ironed and what needs different care.
- Set in order: each item goes back to its wardrobe, drawer or hanger.
- Shine: the board and the area are tidied when we finish.
- Standardise: tell us how you fold shirts or which items hang, and it is done that way every time.
- Sustain: with a recurring service, the pile stops growing back.
You set the priorities: work shirts first, then the children's clothes, for example. Ironing is done within the hours you book, following your priorities, as long as there is access and the right equipment.
A working iron and a suitable board or surface. If they are missing, that visit cannot include ironing and the professional spends the time on your other priorities.
Laundry, folding and bed linen
If you like, the professional also does the laundry: puts the washing machine on, hangs it out, folds and puts it away. For that we need the clothes, a working washing machine and detergent.
The professional can also change your bed linen, as long as clean sets are ready when she arrives. The dirty sheets go in the machine and the clean, ironed ones go on the bed.
Tell us about delicate items or anything labelled dry-clean only before we start. Sofas, upholstered curtains and mattresses are not ironing: that is upholstery cleaning, a separate service.
Inside the weekly clean
The most convenient way is to add ironing to your weekly house cleaning. One visit leaves the home clean and the clothes ironed.
It works like this:
- You choose how often: every week, every two weeks or every month.
- You add "Ironing" and, if you want, "Laundry" or "Bed linen change".
- You decide how much time goes on clothes and how much on cleaning.
We suggest visits of 2 to 4 hours. With ironing included, an extra hour is a good starting point. If you own a holiday home in Andorra, we can also have the bed linen ready before you arrive.
On a one-off visit
Back from a trip with two suitcases, or an event coming up and everything still to iron? You can book a one-off ironing visit, with no cleaning.
You pay for the hours actually worked, with a minimum of one hour. It is a good way to catch up once and, if you like it, move to the recurring option later.
Price
The hourly price depends on whether the service is recurring or one-off. These are the rates:
| Item | Price (excl. IGI) |
|---|---|
| Recurring service (base) | from €16.99/h |
| Ironing extra | +€0.99/h |
| Laundry extra | +€0.19/h |
| Bed linen change extra | +€0.09/h |
| One-off service (base; travel, materials and products included) | €38.27/h |
Billing is per hour and per person. The recurring rate requires a minimum of 4 sessions in different weeks; otherwise the one-off rate applies. Our staff are registered with the CASS and Sojiya holds a public liability policy.
