Cleaning in Ordino: quiet villages, bigger homes
Ordino has the fewest households of any parish in Andorra: 2,378 at the end of 2025, according to the Departament d'Estadística. There are no rows of apartment blocks here. There are calm villages such as La Cortinada, Llorts, Arans, Sornàs, Segudet or Ansalonga, and family houses with several floors, an attic and wooden staircases.
That changes the job. A house like this is not cleaned in an hour: someone has to plan which floor gets done on which day and what waits for the next visit. That is why we use the 5S method: first we set aside what is not needed (seiri), then we put each thing in its place (seiton), and only then do we clean (seisō). The house then stays in order between visits.
For people who live here all year round, the usual choice is regular cleaning of the home from €16.99/h (excl. IGI). If the house has gone a while without a proper clean, it is better to start with a deep clean and then move to the routine.
Stone, timber and damp
Stone and timber like very little water and a lot of patience. In Ordino's village houses dust settles in the joints of the stonework, on the beams and on the steps, and winter damp shows up in cold corners and behind furniture.
- Old timber floors: vacuumed first, then mopped with a nearly dry cloth so the wood does not soak up water.
- Stone walls: dust removed with a soft brush from joints and ledges, with no products that could stain the stone.
- Beams, banisters and stairs: cleaned from top to bottom, so dust never falls back onto what is already clean.
- Damp corners: we ventilate while cleaning and tell you if we see marks that keep coming back.
If you want us to bring a vacuum cleaner, it adds €2.99/h (excl. IGI). The windows that face the valley, with mountain dust and rain, can be part of the routine or booked separately as window cleaning.
Mud and snow at the door
In winter the problem comes in through the front door. Boots bring snow, mud and road salt, and the hallway becomes the dirtiest part of the house. We leave the hallway, the shoe rack and the first stretch of floor clean, because that is where the wear is.
The Ordino Arcalís ski season also brings visitors. If you own a property that is let in winter, cleaning between stays has to be finished on time and to the same standard every time. Out of season, many houses stand closed for weeks: for those, our holiday home cleaning leaves the house ready before you arrive.
The villages of Ordino are spread along the valley, and many houses are only reachable by car. When the only way to reach the house is by car, an extra of €0.99/h (excl. IGI) applies, listed in our hourly prices and add-ons.
| Item | Price (excl. IGI) |
|---|---|
| Regular cleaning | from €16.99/h |
| Car add-on | +€0.99/h |
| Sojiya vacuum cleaner | +€2.99/h |
